Please be under no illusions, this thing is enormous! We visited it during a trip to Kanchanaburi, We were particularly keen to visit, because my husband is into Bonsai trees, and he wanted to see this purely because he is a tree geek! It did not dissapoint!

Hidden inside the Royal Thai Army's Division of Veterinary and Agriculture is this giant rain tree you might not believe your eyes. A 20-meter-tall single rain tree, aged older than 100 year, features a shady canopy that is measured 51.75 meters in diameter, which means it crowns over an area of 2,416 square meters. Getting there: The tree is at nter the Royal Thai Army's Division of Veterinary and Agriculture 1 at Ban Kasikam, Amphoe Dan Makham Tia district, some 3 kilometers from Wat Tham Mangkon Thong. This massive specimen of a chamchuri (rain tree), over 100 years old, is a popular attraction
