Echinops, the Glorious Globe Thistle

Echinops, aka Globe Thistle, for obvious reasons, are a wonderful addition to any herbaceous border. Spiky, spiny, thistly like, and adored by pollinating insects. They also make a good dried flower for all the florists out there. It is another member of the daisy family, Asteraceae.
