Alpine Thistle

I photographed this Alpine Thistle in a RHS Greenhouse and was captivated by the intricacy of it’s flower bud and leaves, so I simply had to get up close and personal with it! Part of the thistle family within the Asteraceae Family, so many Daisies under this enormous umbrella.
